Namdaemun

Namdaemun is a shopping area in Seoul. It gets it's name from being near a historic site, the Great South Gate (or South Large Gate, interpreted literally).

This store seems to encpsulate the merchadising principles here in South Korea.

And as far as I can tell the four merchandising principles go something like this:

1. Make all inventory visible.

2. Squeeze all inventory into a very small space.

3. Repeat the entire inventory many times in the same area of the store.

4. Immediatly establish a verbal selling routine as soon as anyone slows down to even look at the inventory.
