On January 6, 2007 I left my lovely wife and two beautiful cats and went to Seoul, South Korea. I have a consulting "gig" over there and was joining my team mates. I had already been there just a month previous and I was looking forward to returning.

I decided to fly JAL becase I had flown them once before and I liked the food they served. Here I am in business class, which is a huge comfort for flying such a long way. These seats in particular were very nice. They were roomy and motorized to help get just the right angle for comfort. They also are in a hard shell so no one can kick you in the back during the trip. Nice!

The neat thing about these seats is that they can recline to a completly flat position. Not completly horizontal however. So you're still at a little bit of an angle, but still, it is fairly comfortable. I never can sleep on planes, not even on long flights, but this time I slept for two hours. A great bit of comfort for me. It took about 12 hours to fly from Chicago to Tokyo and another 3 hours to fly to Seoul. They were both good flight plus I get frequent flyer miles for American Airlines.
